Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to earn a 10. a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics coach who later became her coach in later years she discovered her when she was six. Her first competition was at the junior national championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in the year 1970. In her first international competition in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974, she was an overall junior champion. Her first senior competition in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also became the first woman in history to dismount the parallel bars with a double backward salto. The story of Carol Wayne to the world of entertainment started when she was a teenager. Together with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the world of entertainment when she was a teenager. Her first professional gig was figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. The shows featured the ice skating of which was accompanied by theatrical music.
